America Modern Green - America Modern Green is the Pearland-based U.S. subsidiary of global developer, Modern Land of China. Modern Land was established in China in 2000, and holds a prestigious first-level real estate development qualification. A publically-traded company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code HK 1107), Modern Land has developed many impressive real estate project in Beijing, other areas of China, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Modern Land has developed more than 10 million square feet of green buildings in China and Australia, using geothermal heating, energy-saving technologies and other sustainable building practices. The company's best-known project is Grand MOMA, an eight-building, mixed-use residential, education and hotel development in Beijing that received the American Institute of Architect's Award for Sustainable Development and was named an architectural miracle by Popular Science and Time magazines. With the development of its first U.S.-based project, The Ivy District, America Modern Green Development (Houston), is the company's first U.S. venture.
At the end of 2012, America Modern Green acquired 48+ acres of undeveloped property in Pearland, Texas. Pearland is located south of the City of Houston. Houston is the most vibrant real estate market in the U.S. In August 2013, Forbes Magazine named Houston as America's next great global city. In the past several years, Houston has been growing at a rate that exceeds the best performing cities in North America. The development site for The Ivy District is strategically located on Beltway 8 and State Highway 288, only minutes away from the Texas Medical Center, downtown Houston, the Museum District, NRG Park (formerly Reliant Park) and Hobby Airport.
